The Return of the Lord
1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Sister Pam’s Story is one of great pain, great suffering but also one of greet victory and power.
Who she was and is touched all of us, her joy, her love, her caring, she was a deep lover of people and her family, friends and community and later in life her Church family was everything to her.
We as a Church This Our Story –
I first met Sis. Pam one night in the hospital, it was during a dark period of her life, one where death and suicide were a constant battle. Health issues, weight issues, sever family trauma, all had taken its tole, and she sat on the emergency hospital bed, in pain and suicidal.
As I heard the nurses discussing her situation, my heart just ached for her, I’d been where she was….our eyes locked and the Lord placed a deep love and prayer burden in my heart for her at that time.
It was only in July of this tear that Sis. Pam realized that was me that night.
It changed both our lives.
It was later when we had this new building and a powerful youth group that I would here her story again- this time it was Brady and Kayla and they came with a deep prayer burden for their family.
Week after week, those precious kids would ask prayer for their dad and the whole family.
These kids walked straight into our hearts and we loved them and were thrilled when Brady was water baptized in the beautiful name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues.
The next time we were to here of Pam and George was through Bro. Barry… a powerful friend who had just received a powerful salvation experience in 2012.
Barry’s testimony and who he is and was – he kept praying for those he loved, and Pam and George were at the top of his list and we as a church just kept praying…
Then in Dec. of 2020 I lost my husband to cancer and we had to make some hard decisions as to whether to keep the church open or to close it – that decision would have a powerful affect on Pam and her whole family.
As a little church, we were still grieving the passing of my husband, but we had to keep going, the Lord said to anoint Barry as our baptizer and Sister Chris as our education director, both those decisions would have a big impact on Sis Pam and her family.
Pam’s Story –
Then in the middle of Covid- before the lock downs the Lord starting speaking to Pam’s heart- she wanted to go back to church and wondered where she was to go… the Lord took her out side this church and told her to go across the street to the Lighthouse – she didn’t even know what we believed and mentioned that to the Lord but he said GO! She obeyed.
It did not take long for Sis. Pam to see the truth of having a deep powerful relationship with Christ over a religious one… she had been brought up to believe and loved the Lord, but there was a lot of religion and fear we had to work through.
She just needed to know how precious she was to the Lord.
When she realized who Jesus was, that he wasn’t the God with the big angry club their relationship blossomed.
She fell so in love with the Lord, the real Jesus of the Bible. She deeply loved him and wanted everyone around her to know the love and the relationship she now had with the Jesus.
It was miraculous to watch,
She was completed delivered from sin, she was delivered from the smoking, from so many things, prayer after prayer was answered.
She was just getting warmed up… she loved the Lord and wanted everyone to know it.
She was completed delivered from sin, she was delivered from the smoking, from so many things, prayer after prayer was answered.
She was just getting warmed up… she loved the Lord and wanted everyone to know it.
When she received the gift of the Holy Ghost that was amazing. she scared poor George right off his nut!
We were all in an online meeting, and she was sitting in her chair, when the Pastor from Winnipeg finally asked Pam if she wanted the baptism of the Holy ghost- we all knew this was her night- and sure enough when prayer was made- she started speaking in lounges, George thought she was bewitched! But her salvation was now complete.
She had completely walked out of Satan’s kingdom into the Lord’s Kingdom, she would never be the same again.
She quickly moved to a deep place of the intercessory prayer warrior- praying hours upon hours for those she loved!
Brady started it and I can’t thank that little boy enough… his prayers made it possible to know with out a shadow of a doubt to know that Sis Pam is saved, and with the Lord… because when she passed the Word says to be absent from the body is to be precent with the Lord…
and we all know as soon as she saw Jesus … she was staying there.
2 Corinthians 5: 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
She quickly moved to a deep place of the intercessory prayer warrior – praying hours upon hours for those she loved! Thats where it became your story…
Your Story –
Pam’s prayed diligently for each of you … she had just one prayer request that all of you would find the real Jesus of the bible, not the Jesus of the cults or the religious, but the real Jesus, almighty god come in the flesh, who loved us to the place that he didn’t want any of us going to a devil; s hell!
He loved us so much he didn’t even want you taking the punishment for the things that we do that are wrong… no he wanted to that that punishment upone himself so he went to the cross, for you for me for Pam… and he rose again so that we could be saved from sin, saved form the pain, shaved form the shame, the torment. Pam wanted each of you to know the joy she felt when she was water baptised in the name of Jesus Christ– the power and anointing she felt at being filled with his Spirit.
The real Jesus of the bible – not the religion Jesus, but the real Jesus of the Bible, a powerful dear friend who is there in the midnight hours, to deliver from death and suicide, trauma and pain, Pam knew that Jesus – she found he was there when she was sick and she could pray and call the church for prayer and be completely delivered and would heal her.
She wanted you each to know that… she wanted so much to share that with you… but sometimes we just are not ready, or we are afraid, or misinformed as to who Jesus is… we miss hearing the love and the opportunity.
Sis Pam, loved… she loved deeply, she prayed deeply, she believed deeply, her whole life she cared for people, at home and here at the Lighthouse she fed orphans, she looked after those who were hurting or sick or suffering from drugs and alcohol… if you want to truly honour her, then make Pam’s story of salvation your story… find the real Jesus of the Bible as she did. Serve others with joy, care for the sick, encourage the brokenhanded, laugh and laugh long and hard. Life was what Sis. Pam had – she had fought spiritual death all her life… but Jesus set her free and she is saved, sanctified and has heard those words of Jesus..
Well done though good and faithful!!
There is no doubt in my mind where she is, many try to preach everyone into heaven no matter what they have done, but we don’t do that here at the Lighthouse- there is a way to know you are saved and a way to test… Sister Pam did what Jesus asked, she repented of her sins and turned her life completely over to Jesus, she was water baptized in his name of Jesus Christ to wash away every sin and she was filled with his Spirit speaking in tongues to give her power over all, and hell can burn on without her! Satan lost this battle and Jesus and Sis Pam Won!!
Victory, powerful Victory in Jesus… and that victory can be yours! Sis Pam loved you all so much, George, Clarissa, Gina, Homor, Jen, Jim, Rob- and all, her only prayer was that you could feel and know the real Jesus the way she did. it was her heart, it was her life, it was her prayer it was her story!!
Let us pray…
