McQuinn, Rev. Donald Leslie “Don”
March 03,1960 – December 21, 2020
Rev. Donald Leslie “Don” McQuinn passed from this life at his home, 415 Franklin Street, Outlook, SK., on Monday, December 21, 2020, surrounded by his loving family with praise and worship.
Born in Moncton, NB on March 3, 1960, he was the son of the late Dr. Leslie Earle and Mary Alice (Atkinson) McQuinn, and for 40 years the cherished and beloved husband of Lois Dennette (McKenna) McQuinn. In addition to his wife, Don is survived by their two children, Rev. Mitchell McQuinn (Stephanie) of Copper Cliff, ON and Victoria Gregg (Michael) of Perdue, SK, as well as four grandchildren, Cameron, Rachelle, Sara, and Colten, as well as eight step-grandchildren; his brothers, Douglas McQuinn (Angie) of Rothesay, NB and David McQuinn of Sussex, NB, sisters, Ruth McQuinn of Saint John, NB and Lorna Balemans (W.C. (Bill)) of Saint John, NB, brothers-in-law, Douglas Allan McKenna of Edmonton, AB and Dwayne McKenna of Red Deer, AB, and step-mother-in law, Shirley McKenna of Sussex, NB, and step-brother-in-law John Norden of Saint John, NB, as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces, and the congregation of the Outlook Gospel Lighthouse. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his parents-in-law, Douglas and Vernetta (Crocker) McKenna.
Donald McQuinn experienced a life changing Christian conversion at the age of 23. He repented of his sins, was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and received the Holy Ghost in 1983. In 1995, he migrated from his home in Sussex, N.B., to Lucky Lake, SK., where he completed his ministerial training and was ordained by Rev. Galen Tracy of Parkland Gospel Lighthouse Inc. He would go on to plant three churches in Saskatchewan.
A bi-vocational minister, Don enjoyed farming, photography and carpentry. While at Ehrenburg Homes, he received the Saskatchewan Homebuilders Association “Customer Service Award.”
A going home service will be held at the Outlook Gospel Lighthouse, 402 Douglass St. Outlook, SK, by invitation only due to Covid-19, Rev. Thomas Dehod officiating. Arrangements by Outlook Funeral Chapel, service to be broadcast from
