In our last lesson on spiritual Governmental training we studied the Kingship of each believer. Today we study our priesthood.
Lets go over some of the points from our last lesson…
When we made the choice to become saints of God through repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, we stepped from Satan’s kingdoms here on earth into the Kingdom of Christ. That choice set in motion a series of spiritual and physical events that changed our spiritual social status – we have been adopted by a king and therefore became heirs and joint heirs with Christ
Rev.1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
A powerful change has come to us, no longer are we outcasts and the drudge of the earth but we became the children of God and joint heirs with Christ – with a powerful destiny to become actual Kings and Priests as John mentioned.
Now in line to rule and reign with him, we became the child of the king, saved from this world, delivered from Satan, and now we need to bring the flesh into submission.
Coming to grips with who you are can take time, it takes perception and a willingness to go into training to become a great leader.
Leadership – each one of leads people now whether we acknowledge it or not, all of us are leading people towards Christ or away from Christ.
Training – each one of us is in training for a powerful leadership position when Christ returns – so we either accept this training and work with the Spirit to become the leaders the Lord can trust and give great responsibility to, or we neglect that role and live our lives unto ourselves and lose the opportunity to become what the Lord has given to us.
Self discipline – is one of the most difficult parts of training – Satan will try to distract you, oppress you, deceive you, the world will call unto you with the call of fame and riches and a false rest and counterfeit of the rest in Christ and our flesh will fight at any cost to be brought under the power of the Spirit of Christ.
The three great enemies of a Christian
-
SATAN
-
THE WORLD
-
THE FLESH
The Kingship and Priesthood training gives us the power to overcome all three enemies
The Priesthood of every believer involves ministering to Christ and to the church.
We studied in the last lesson that each King was to write out the 613 laws for themselves.
In this lesson we are going to condense the law into the two greatest commandments as taught by the Lord Jesus
The Kindship and Priesthood of every believer will fall under these two main commandments
Matthew 22:36-40King James Version36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Predominate characteristic of a believer is to have Love,
Love for the Lord (Priesthood) and Love for Mankind (Kingship)
The true worshipper will worship the Lord in Spirit (Kingship – Power and Authority) and in truth (Priesthood – Holiness and Obedience)
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4;3 (KJV)
And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest‘s office.
The life of the King involves power and authority – Spirit
the life of the Priest involves holiness and obedience-Truth
A Priest’s life is to be separated and consecrated unto the Lord.
Two main categories – the clean and the unclean or the Holy and the Profane
Holiness involves- holiness of charterer – how a person talks and communicates
Holiness in attire – modest, neat clean and presentable- their are laws within the 613 Old Testament laws or guidelines for dress for men and women.
Holiness of actions – what we watch, what we hear, what we read.
We create an atmosphere in all we do we will create either a place of comfort for the Spirit of God to dwell with us, or a place where demons and devils are comfortable.

Priestly Garments (Exodus 28 and 39, Leviticus 8:7-9)
The priests wore special garments20 that distinguished them from the people, “to give them dignity and honor” (Exodus 28:40). Here they are, working from the outside in:
High Priest | Regular Priests | |
Sacred crown of gold, engraved with the words: “Holy to the Lord.”21 | High priest only | None |
Turban of linen, different types | Miṣnepet22 | Migbāʿâ23 |
Breast piece, colorful, like the ephod, with 12 stones representing the 12 tribes, plus a pocket in which to put the Urim and Thummim, which seem to be lots used to seek God’s will. | High priest only | None |
Ephod, “a sleeveless linen waistcoat”24 worn over the robe.25 | Ephod made with gold; blue, purple and scarlet yarn; and finely-twisted linen. | Plain linen ephod,26 at least in David’s time. |
Robe27 of the ephod, made of blue cloth, the hem with alternating embroidered pomegranates and gold bells. | High priest only | None |
Sash28 | Embroidered sash | Regular sash |
Tunic, linen, ankle-length29 | Perhaps checkered.30 | Plain white linen |
Breeches, linen | Fine-twisted linen | Regular linen |
Footwear | None | None |
The Blessing (Numbers 6:22-27)
One of the ministries of the priests was to bless the people of Israel with these words:
“The LORD bless you and keep31 you;
the LORD make his face shine upon you
and be gracious32 to you;
the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Serving the Lord involves all of our lives, how much we give to the Lord,, how much of our lives we allow the Lord to be Lord over- will also determine the amount of blessing we receive,
If we as kings and priests constantly break the spiritual laws guiding our lives – we will reap the benefits of those broken spiritual laws
The same is also true if we as kings and priests follow with love the spiritual laws in the Kingdom of God then our portion is that of… righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Over the next year we will be exploring the Christian life through the lense of the Great End Time Revival, teaching and training on the priesthood and Kingship of every believer.
We encourage all to become part of this great worldwide revival.
