The establishment of the CornerStone Academy of Biblical Studies Inc. (CABS) in 1995 was the result of much prayer and anticipation. It was the consummation of the desires of the President and Co-President to provide an accredited Bible College for the purpose of providing a high quality, systematic program of studies to enhance, equip and qualify individuals for service in various Christian ministries.
For the first ten years CABS was an affiliate of the International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth (IAUGT). It was required to maintain the standards and procedures incumbent on the parent organization, and was subject to periodic reviews by the Accrediting Commission International and IAUGT in order to maintain its status.
CABS was incorporated in January 2000 as an official educational institute from Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC). This allows all students to receive tuition receipts for income tax purposes.
In January 2001, CABS was officially recognized by the Government of Canada as a charitable organization. This status further places the college in a favourable position, permitting the issuance of charitable receipts for donations.
CABS is the official vehicle for Christian Education at the CornerStone House of Refuge Apostolic Church in Ontario and Kingdom Life Ministries, in Mississauga Ontario. It is Bible-centered and interdenominational in its outreach.
Its objective is described clearly in Ephesians 4:12-13:
“For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”
Praises, honor and all glory to God, Who has abundantly blessed and directed the operation of this Academy. We thank our Lord for the knowledge, wisdom and divine guidance necessary to achieve excellence in all our endeavors.
CABS offer Certificates and Diplomas in the following Programs of Studies:
